Our new dishwasher leaked. For a month.

We bought a new dishwasher, that had multiple problems.

We called Costco (definately the least expensive) to have them take it out, and get a new one. They came to do that, but couldn't get it out. They left the new one, because I thought we'd be able to make the change. We finally called a 3rd party, 2 guys, one from Russia and the other from Ukraine, who with an hour's work, were able to get it out. But we realized that the new replacement would have the same installation problem, so didn't install it.

Probably a good thing, because the floor in the alcove will likely need to be replaced. That might involve looking at, and replacing the cabinets next to the dishwasher.

And there's the repair to the bedroom under the dishwasher. The good news is that there's no asbestos in the ceiling, that has significant water discoloration. And the carpet was wet all that time, so there's likely to be some floor work.

This is the floor in the alcove under the dishwasher. Lots of signs of water, including the sides of the adjcent cabinets. It's likely that the cabinets will have to be removed to fix the floor, and that's likely to include buying new cabinets and a new counter.
